Timeline

Timeline as of 3/14:

By the end of February, I hope to have built my steam box, collected most of the materials I will need, and set up a work area in my basement. I want to have tested the steam box out once.

By the beginning of March, I hope to have a clear plan of how I want to build my canoe, and to have a clear understanding of the process needed.

By early to  middle of March, I hope to have done a bit of experimenting on how the strips will fit together so I will know before I start the real boat.

By late March, I hope to have wood, and begun to cut the pieces.

By late May, I hope to be building seats and be doing varnishing and finishing.

By early June, I hope to have a real canoe that floats.

If time allows, I’ll build an oar as well.
